هدف اصلی این تحقیق بررسی تاثیر برنامه ریزی زمانی، هم چنین افزایش میزان پیچیدگی تکالیف در نظر گرفته شده بصورت همزمان، بر دقت و صحت و پیچیدگی عملکرد نوشتاری زبان آموزان می باشد. بدین منظور، 50 نفر از دانش آموزان دختر در رده ی سنی 16 الی 18 سال به عنوان شرکت کنندگان در این زمینه ی تحقیق در نظر گرفته شدند و به دو گروه آزمایشی و کنترل بصورت اتفاقی تقسیم شدند. اعضای گروه آزمایشی هر دو تکلیف ساده و پیچیده را با در نظر گرفتن زمان بندی حین انجام و قبل از انجام تکلیف، طی 4 جلسه انجام دادند. در جلسه اول، تکلیف ساده را با زمان بندی حین انجام تکلیف بدون محدودیت زمانی به پایان رساندند و در جلسه دوم، همان تکلیف را با شرایط زمان بندی قبل از انجام تکلیف با در نظر گرفتن محدودیت زمانی جهت افزایش میزان و شرایط پیچیدگی تکرار کردند. در جلسات سوم و چهارم شرکت کنندگان تکالیف پیچیده ی خود را با شرایط قبلی، طی دو جلسه انجام دادند. اعضای گروه کنترل، فقط تکلیف پیچیده را در شرایط زمان بندی حین انجام تکلیف با در نظر گرفتن محدودیت زمانی انجام دادند. اطلاعات جمع آوری شده برای سنجش میزان پیچیدگی و صحت بر اساس تست های anova و t-test بررسی آماری شدند. اطلاعات بدست آمده از این تحقیق، نشان داد که برنامه ریزی زمان بندی در بالا بردن میزان دقت و صحت، بویژه در تکلیف پیچیده در شرایط زمانی حین انجام تکلیف موثر واقع شد. ولی محدودیت زمانی که به منظور بالا بردن میزان پیچیدگی اعمال شده بود، در دقت عملکرد نوشتاری آنها تاثیر منفی داشت. در ضمن این اطلاعات نشان دادند که برنامه ریزی زمانی متفاوت در شرایط مختلف بر پیچیدگی عملکرد آنها تاثیر چندانی نداشت. امید است که نتایج بدست آمده از این مطالعه ی تحقیقی بتواند ایده ی جدیدی برای معلمان زبان انگلیسی جهت تدریس بهتر و مفیدتر در کلاس و نیز برای طراحان مواد آموزشی در تنظیم مطالب درسی ارایه نماید
